Meg and George and I were sitting around and suddenly thought that it would be fun to have a blog where we could tell each other what we're up to in particular when we are on The Hill. Do you like the idea? Betsy
The Blog is an excellent example of improvements possible with modern technology. I recently discovered that not 'everyone' was familiar with the old green record book, The Log. Mom started it when I was school age and it lived in the drawer of the Sideboard with The Guest Book for years. My sense is that The Log was a second generation book, however I don't recall ever seeing a first generation book (anyone?).
In The Log, Mom (and later others) recorded various Hill and family events. The Log mirrored the Wade family photo albums in that it skipped years at a time, when the emotional temperature of the family couldn't support it. The Log also required that one take time from the current Hill activities to connect with a pen, the book and the desire to write. The Blog is much more conducive to entries from everyone, being easy to contribute from afar during winter slow periods.

I think it's a great idea! I almost deleted the invitation, though, because I saw "the hill" and thought it was political spam.
I'll be on the Cape in a little more than a week!
Love it! We could also use the blog to document major improvement projects
I think it is great. Thanks Meg!
I also love the picture of the cottage on a sunny day.
